Constellations, archival pigment prints, 2010-11

Photographs are like stars - tiny bits of information from an otherwise infinite stream of possibilities. In the same way, they are also like words. In the Constellations series I combine photographs of disparate subjects, events, and times into unplanned pairings and sequences. By placing images together, I'm inventing a narrative that otherwise wouldn't exist. Drawing on daily observations and research material, the finished images are like notes in my diary - philosophical musings on seemingly unrelated topics.
